Pohoață Valentin holds a degree in Physics, Faculty of Physics, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi. At the same university he completed his master’s degree in physics at the Faculty of Physics and subsequently obtained a doctorate in science, physics, specialising in plasma physics.
Areas and directions of interest and research:
- Electrical and optical diagnostics of different types of plasmas (DBD, RF), used both at low and atmospheric pressure for the destruction of gaseous pollutants or for the deposition of thin films with various properties;
- Optical and spectroscopic techniques (UV-VIS, Raman, IR) for analysing deposited materials or layers;
